| KITTITAS — A 39-year-old man, who is studying to be a reserve officer, was riding along in a Kittitas Police patrol car Sunday when he got a closer look than he bargained for.
Christopher P. Taylor of Black Diamond, was riding with KPD officer Brent Nierman Sunday afternoon. The two responded to a domestic call on Main Street in Kittitas.
As they responded, one of the suspects, 28-year-old Justin Michele Kalakosky, began leaving the scene in her vehicle. As she backed up, she pinned Taylor between her 1995 Plymouth Neon and the patrol car. |

| 2 Easton High juniors die in crash Mar 10, 2006 |
| (EASTON, PA)Two Easton Area High School students were killed Sunday and a former student was clinging to life after a one-car accident in the Old Orchard section of Palmer Township.
The early morning calm of the picturesque neighborhood was broken just after 6:30 a.m. when the car the three were in slammed so violently into a tree that the engine was thrown nearly 60 feet from the vehicle.
Pronounced dead at the scene were Michael R. Cummings, an 18-year-old junior quarterback on the Easton Area High football team, and 16-year-old junior girls soccer player Amanda Leigh Schultz, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek.
The driver, Kyle Kehler, is an 18-year-old from Palmer Township who was a junior at Easton Area High School last year but is not in school this year. He was flown to St. Luke's Hospital-Fountain Hill, where he was in critical condition late Sunday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

| (EASTON, PA) Kyle M. Kehler, 18, was drunk behind the wheel of the car that crashed Sunday in Palmer Township, killing two Easton Area High School students who were with him, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli says.
''He was definitely over the legal limit,'' Morganelli said Thursday.
Also, he and the prosecutor handling the case said the party that Kehler, Michael R. Cummings and Amanda Leigh Schultz attended at a Palmer home wasn't the only one going on the night before the high-speed accident.
